Ever wondered about that charcoal toothpaste fad that's been going around???... Well it is REAL and it WORKS!! I've been using it for about a month and a half or so now and it is great!! Now I'm going to share with you the wonderful benefits of charcoal toothpaste.
I bought mine from Amazon and it is an activated coconut charcoal powder by Magic White and is mint flavored (although I can't taste the mint). The ingredients in it are also quite simple: bentonite clay, orange seed oil, baking soda, coconut oil, and of course coconut charcoal. Here's how to use it to get the best benefits of charcoal toothpaste.

1. Soft Toothbrush
To reap the full benefits of charcoal toothpaste, use a soft toothbrush (I have two, one to use during the process and one to use after the process).
2. Add the Powder
Wet the toothbrush and dip in the powder.
Frequently asked questions
3. Brush Gently
Gently brush your teeth. I'd recommend a bib or just duck low into your sink for any spittle so it does not get onto your clothing (it does not wash out of white clothing very well).
4. Two Minutes
Brush for at least two minutes.
5. Rinse Well
Rinse VERY thoroughly. I usually follow up with a little dab of toothpaste on a different toothbrush and brush any excess off (you will see the excess as rinsing isn't quite enough).
6. Look for Whiter Teeth
Enjoy whiter teeth (I noticed the difference right away). My first check up at the dentist was quite good this year!
7. Use Twice a Day
Brush twice a day but if you wish, you can always skip a day and use the charcoal toothpaste every other day.
I had my 6 month check up at the end of July and my dentist was very impressed by the state of my teeth and gums. If you have signs of bleeding or sore gums, activated charcoal will help with that as the main ingredient in it (bentonite clay) is known to combat germs and bacteria. Give it a try. It is very inexpensive. There are also different textures of it - the loose charcoal and one that is actual charcoal toothpaste. I prefer the powder as a little does go a long way. But whatever you prefer, make sure it has bentonite Clay in it.

Tricia:You can. Just make sure that there is Bentonite Clay in it. There are some that do not and are harsh on your teeth.
xmeganx:Can i buy another type of charcoal toothpaste? Like the lush ones?
