I tend to think of hair care when I consider products from Garnier, but now that I have researched the company and what they have to offer, I see they’re not a one trick brand. Now, some of their popular products, like the eye rollers, just don’t do it for me. I see practically no results, and I can’t in good faith, add them to this list. But I have found 7 great products from Garnier to recommend, and here they are.

1. Nutrisse Nourishing Color Crème
This is probably a good time to come clean and confess that I am not a true redhead. But hey, that’s why I turn to products from Garnier, and in particular, Nutrisse #69 – Intense Auburn. What I like about this hair color is it’s basically mistake proof, it doesn’t drip all over my shoulders and down my back, and it doesn’t have a nasty smell.
2. De-Constructed Beach Chic – Garnier Fructis Style
My hair is curlier in some spots and just wavy in others, so to get great beach wave hair, this De-Constructed Beach Chic is the perfect product for me. It’s not sticky or stiff and it doesn’t cause any flakiness. I don’t mind crunchy hair, which I don’t get from this, but I loathe products that make my hair a sticky mess. Follow directions for best results.
3. Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream
Hello, hydration! Use morning and night, in the formula that is right for your skin type. There’s one for normal/combo skin and one for dry skin. This cooling cream does not contain SPF, so go ahead and add a lightweight product with sunscreen for daytime, or just use this as a night cream. You don’t need that much, so it’s long-lasting at a good price.
4. Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment
I’m sure you’ve seen oil treatments up and down the hair care aisle, but its trial and error to find one that you like. What stands out with this oil treatment is you won’t have an oil bomb on your head after application. Apply to damp hair and don’t wash out. Apply again in moderation on dry hair, to tame frizzies and add shine.
5. Skin Renew 5 Second Blur Instant Smoother
This is pricier than your standard drugstore products, so it’s important you know what kind of results you can expect, and not set such high limits that can’t possibly be achieved. The key word for this product is ‘temporary.’ It will soften the look of fine lines, pores will be less visible, and your face will have a more radiant look.
6. Clean + Nourishing Cleansing Oil
The leading ingredient in this product is mineral oil which works wonders for women with dry skin. Ladies with combination or oily skin; step away from this product. The word ‘oil’ in my cleanser kind of turns me off, but this product rinses off so completely, you’ll soon get over any hang-ups about the name.
7. Brilliantine Shine Glossing Spray
Don’t expect this to be on a par with a product like BioSilk Silk Therapy, but then again, it doesn’t cost over $40 either. So with that in mind, you’ll get a nice shiny finish. Don’t over-spray to over compensate. You won’t like the result. Use sparingly and fine haired gals should not even spray directly on hair, but into hands and then smooth it over hair.
For a small amount of money, these Garnier products will make you look and feel extraordinary, as long you don’t expect the look and feel to last too long. Just be realistic regarding the results you can achieve and you won’t be disappointed. As far as inexpensive drugstore products go, these are among the very best. Do you use any Garnier products? What have you had the most success with?
