1

Use White Eyeliner

Using white eyeliner is one of the simplest ways to enhance your eyes, as it really does make your eyes look brighter and more awake! Using white eyeliner on your upper eyelid attracts light and opens up the shape of your eye, whereas a dark liner can make your eyes look smaller. When used on the bottom waterline of your eye, it can give the illusion of making the whites of your eyes bigger then normal. Or you can simply use white eyeliner in the corners of your eyes to brighten up your overall look! Keep in mind that too bold of a white can look a little scary, so opt for an off-white or smudge your liner a little bit to blend it better.

2

Get Enough Sleep

If you were looking for a quick fix for your eyes, you're not going to like this tip. However, this tip can work wonders for enhancing your eyes (as well as your entire body) if you actually keep up with it! The most common complaints about the appearance of our eyes are typically dark circles and puffiness. This is usually caused by a lack of sleep! For the average adult, seven to nine hours of sleep per night is recommended so you should be trying your best to get that amount every night. There are also different creams you can use to limit dark circles and puffiness, as well as concealers. But you can save yourself a lot of time and money if you just naturally cure your under eye bags!

3

Complement Your Eye Color

A great way to enhance your eyes is to enhance your specific eye color using complementing colors. For example, blue eyes will tend to appear bluer when wearing bronze and brown eye makeup, but stay away from wearing blue makeup. Green or hazel eyes do best matched up with purple colors. Brown eyes can usually get away with wearing almost any color of eye shadow, but if you want your eyes to pop, then try either green or pink eye shadow. You can also help enhance the color of your eyes by wearing clothes in these colors too!

4

Match Your Mascara to Your Features

While almost every type of mascara can make your lashes look longer or fuller, it's better to shop for a mascara that suits your individual needs in order to enhance your eyes more. Blondes and redheads with fair complexions will usually look better if they use dark brown mascara or another, lighter color. Black can appear extreme against their fair features. Brunettes and darker redheads, on the other hand, can wear dark brown or black mascara. Sticking to dark brown can enhance your natural look, but so can some less-obvious colors. For example, purple mascara can really bring out hazel eyes but I'd advise only using it for a night look and sticking to more natural colors for the day.

5

Groom Your Brows

Just like a picture frame would affect the way your picture looks, your eyebrows affect the way your eyes look. Simply tweezing stray hairs around your eyebrows can instantly make your eyes more noticeable! If your eyebrows are a mess, they will draw attention away from your eyes in a bad way. Also, don't think that making your eyebrows thin will draw more attention to your eyes, they won't! If anything, creating a nice, natural arch in your eyebrows can do wonders for enhancing your eyes! For doing this the first time though, I recommend getting them waxed by a professional.

Avoid Too Much Eyeliner

Especially when you're applying makeup for a day look, don't apply eyeliner all the way around your eye. Doing so will make your eyes look smaller. Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing, as doing your makeup this way (such as a smokey eye) can look mysterious and dramatic for the nighttime. For a more natural and alluring day-time look, apply your eyeliner on your lower lashes but don't let the line come all the way to the inner corner of your eye. Or, skip the bottom liner all together and go for a bold eyeliner on just the top lid of your eye! Make sure to wear some mascara though, if you're only lining your upper lid! It will instantly make your eyes appear wider. You can even add a cat eye finish to your upper lid for even more of a chic eye enhancement!

7

Natural Lips

You have two prominent features on your face: your eyes and your lips. Thus, in order to make one appear more prominent than the other, tone down one. If you want your eyes to pop, then opt for a more natural lip color or gloss. If you wear a bold red or pink on your lips, it will take away from your eyes. If you do want to wear a bolder lip color, then tone down your eyes with natural colors and liners. However, it depends if you would rather have people looking at your eyes or lips more. I'm more of an eye girl myself!

It has been said that "eyes are the windows to your soul," which is why it's so important to enhance them as much as possible! I would also recommend starting with a firming eye cream as soon as you hit 21. Your eyes are the first things to age and keeping them looking young will help keep your whole face looking young! What are your favorite ways to enhance your eyes?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

If done well, blue shadow can enhance blue eyes, and green can enhance green eyes. Don't overdo the shadow though, and match the intensity with your eye colour. Light blue for light blue and darker blue for darker blue eyes. And you can use brown or greyish eye liner during the day, save black for party time. Unless you happen to be dark skinned, of course. But none of the rules here apply to dark skinned beauties!!

Great tips .
