1

Hydrate

Before we get into the beauty tips to hide a hangover, re-hydrate yourself! Alcohol is dehydrating and rehydrating yourself with water is of utmost importance. No matter what alcoholic concoction your BFF recommends you have to rid yourself of that icky hangover, your body and skin needs plenty of water. Makeup artist Jemma Kidd says alcohol can cause your skin to look dry and sallow, so be sure to fill up with at least 2 liters of water.

2

Moisturize

Once you’ve hydrated yourself on the inside, it’s time to give your skin the same treatment. Don’t even think about applying makeup before applying some moisturizer to your face first. Hopefully, you were good and even remembered or was conscious enough to remove your makeup the night before. If not, cleanse your face ASAP and apply a thick moisturizer.

3

Treat

If you have the time, another one of the best tricks to hide a hangover is to apply some cool teabags, cucumbers or some ice wrapped in a cloth to your eyes to reduce puffiness. All of the above items can help reduce swelling and help you appear more awake and alive. If you opt for the tea bags, brew some tea, remove the tea bags and let them cool and apply to your closed eyes for 10-15 minutes. If you use ice or cucumbers, apply them to your closed eyes for 5-10 minutes.

4

Prime

Today is not the day to skip out on makeup primer no matter how lazy you feel and how crunched for time you are. Primer helps your under eye concealer and face makeup glide on smooth and depending on the type of primer you use, it can help you do a number of things like camouflage pores and prevent makeup from settling into any fine lines

5

Tint

The next hangover beauty tip is to apply a tinted moisturizer or similar product to your face. Although you might feel compelled to apply a lot of makeup, don’t. Caking on makeup is actually going to work against you in this case. Go for a tinted moisturizer, CC cream or lightweight moisturizing liquid foundation which can help even out your skin and disguise dullness.

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

Blush

Next, you’ll want to add some color to your cheeks to bring some life back to your face! Swirl on some rosy pink blush to the apples of your cheeks to give your skin a healthy glow. If you have luminizer or highlighter, apply it to the high points of your cheeks. Bronzer can also warm up your complexion if you want to add some more color to your face. Lightly swipe it to your forehead, cheeks and chin for a beautiful glow.

7

Line

If you normally wear dark eye liners on your waterline, skip it today. Instead, try a nude or white eye liner. Wearing a light colored liner on the inner rims of your eyes can help them appear brighter and bigger and you’ll look more awake. Also, you can add a shimmery eye shadow or the same light colored eye liner to the inner corners of your eyes for additional brightening.

8

Accentuate

The hangover beauty tip for eyes is to apply neutral eye shadow. Wearing any dark colors like purples or grays in the eye area when you have a hangover can almost appear as if you have a bruised eye! Stick to light neutral colors and take extra time to make sure it’s blended seamlessly. Next, instantly make your eyes pop by curling your lashes, then apply your favorite mascara.

9

Cleanse

Tricks to hide a hangover also include giving your hair a quick cleanse. Grab your dry shampoo or baby powder if you don’t have any dry shampoo handy and spritz your roots. With dry shampoo, you can avoid having to wash and restyle your hair when you’re short on time and it’ll get rid of any lingering cigarette smells from the night before.

Use these tips anytime you want to hide a hangover or even just look more awake. These easy beauty tips can take your from your bedroom to the conference room looking fresher, brighter and more awake then you really feel. If you have any tricks to hide a hangover, we’d love to hear them!
