1

Drink Lots of Water

If you’re flying then you’re going to be at risk for dry skin. Traveling by air is very drying. To combat this, make sure you’re drinking plenty of water, even more than you usually do. Aim for 8 glasses at the minimum each day you fly. Using a good quality moisturizer can be helpful, too.

2

Have Blotting Papers on Hand

Sometimes you’ll experience oily skin instead when you’re traveling. This happens a lot on road trips by car. Blotting papers can be your saving grace when you’re on a road trip. They pull the excess oil away from your skin but leave your makeup intact. Tuck some in your purse for when you’re feeling a little oily. They’re actually a good staple to keep in your purse all the time.

3

Stick to Neutral Nails

I love the bright colors of spring and summer for my nail polish choice, too. But they aren’t always the best choice when you’re traveling. If you get a chip, it’s going to scream for attention. Nude nail polish is a better choice for when you’re traveling. A chip can slip by undetected in a nude color much more easily.

4

Wear a Moisturizing Lipstick

This tip’s especially important if you’re traveling by air. Your face isn’t the only thing to show the effects of hours spent in an airplane; your lips will also. Choose a lipstick with a moisturizing formula. Moisturizing lipstick feels really good on your lips when they’re dry. This type of lipstick is a good choice for any sort of travel because moisturizing lipstick tends to look lovely for hours while other lipsticks may look flaky.

5

Let Highlighter Come to the Rescue

Sometimes you don’t get a lot of sleep when you’re traveling or even when you reach your vacation or business destination. Dark circles can be the result of sleepless nights. Let highlighter come to the rescue when this happens to you. Highlighter is a magical makeup choice because it pulls the focus off of problem areas. A couple good places to apply highlighter is right under your eyebrow and across the very top of your cheekbone.

Pack Mini Versions

For many women, they’d have a full suitcase just of their beauty supplies if they packed the full size versions they use at home. Pack mini versions of your favorite products to take along. This’s a great space saving tool when you’re packing. Additionally, if your luggage is lost or stolen, you haven’t lost nearly as much of an investment as you would’ve if you’d packed full size versions. If there’re new products you’ve wanted to try, this’s a great time to do so because you can sample before you buy the full size.

7

Go for Waterproof Mascara

Waterproof mascara is always a good choice when you’re traveling. There’re various things that could make your eyes water or your makeup smudge. You could be spending a lot of time in the sun or in the water. You may be sweaty, which we all know leads to melting makeup. And if you sleep while you’re traveling this can save you from having to clean up mascara smudges.

These’re 7 beauty tips to remember when you travel. Which of them are helpful to you? Share your thoughts.

Great thanks ;) I'm going to Paris on my own tomorrow so these are great tips! :) xx

Also god idea is to take a small tube of hand cream with you as you travel. You can fill in some spare minutes by massaging your nails and hands . And also a small hand spray bottle of antiseptic

I always just do my makeup on the plane

Also, if your favorite shampoo doesn't come in a mini size, you can pick up little plastic containers for them at a dollar store and fill with your preferred product.
