I’m a sucker for makeup with cute packaging, but I also go crazy for really clever beauty products. You know, those innovative beauty products that have a unique and unexpected design and just seem cool and ingenious! There is a range of clever beauty products that have cropped up, but I haven’t got to try them yet! If you’re as curious as I am about these super cool and useful beauty tools, you’ve got to check out this list of nine clever beauty products I can’t wait to try!
1. Avon Mega Effects Mascara
I would never think something as simple as mascara would be on this list of clever beauty products, but it is! Avon created a defining mascara with an ultramodern wand that’s designed to reach all different angles and coat all the fine, hard-to-reach lashes so you get 24 hours of dramatic eyes. Check out this mascara wand; it looks a little odd but it’s ergonomically designed to fit the curves of your eyelashes! Find it at Avon.com for $10.
2. NYX Cosmetics Curve Liner
NYX makes some of my favorite beauty tools and their Curve Liner is next on my must-try list. I’ve been using liquid eyeliner forever so I thought I’d seen it all, but the Curve Liner definitely caught my eye! I was intrigued by the curved, ergonomic design which is supposed to make lining eyes much easier to do. If you have trouble using a liquid eye liner, the curved handle of this beauty tool might be just right for you! Find it at Nordstrom for $15.
3. Tarte EmphasEYES Waterproof Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse
I made the mistake of over-plucking my eyebrows before so now I face the challenge of filling in my uneven brows every day. I’ve tried just about everything to try to create natural-looking brows but pencils and powders don’t always get the job done. This genius brow mousse, however, might be just the ticket! This clay brow mousse helps define and fill in brows without a waxy build-up or leaving behind any harsh lines. This long-wearing mousse also helps nourish the skin while you wear it, awesome! Find it at QVC.com for $28.
4. Pop Beauty Buzzing Beauty Buffer
If you’ve grown tired of using your everyday brush or sponge to apply your foundation, Pop Beauty has an innovative new buffer that buzzes! Yes beauties, it’s a vibrating sponge! This beauty product is quite pricey at $28, but it looks promising to beautifully blend and leave a flawless finish. If you were a fan of Lancôme’s Oscillation mascara or powder, this might be right up your alley, for less! Available at Ulta for $28.
5. Dior Airflash Matte Touch
I’ve never been too keen on spraying things on my face, but since trying Skindinavia’s awesome finishing sprays, I’m a changed woman. Dior’s latest creation is a powdery setting spray that sets makeup and leaves behind a matte finish. What makes this setting spray unique is that although it’s tinted, it changes to a universal color once it touches your skin. Available at Sephora for $49.
6. L'Oreal Paris Sublime Suncreen Oil Spray SPF 50+
Let’s not forget sun care products! Sunscreen is a must for me all year to keep sun safe and to avoid farmer’s tan lines. When I’m out walking my dogs I don’t mind slathering a thicker lotion on my body, but if I’m going to hit a pool or beach, I’d rather wear something light and more attractive than a pasty white cream. L’Oreal’s sunscreen oil is easily absorbed, moisturizes, offers broad spectrum protection and feels as luxurious as it looks! Available at Target for $10.99
7. E.l.f. Studio Lotion Wipes
Another beauty product that I can’t imagine living without is lotion. The only thing I don’t like about them is that I tend to misplace the travel sized ones and there is no way I’m going to tote around a full sized bottle in my purse! Good thing e.l.f. had the same dilemma and came up with the most convenient lotion wipes! These are perfect for the gym, travel or your purse and you don’t have to worry about spilling! Available at eyeslipsface.com for $3.
8. The “Wet” Brush Detangling Hair Brush
I don’t know about you, but my hair tangles SO easily. It’s a real pain trying to detangle it after I wash my hair but I recently discovered the “Wet” Brush which was a game changer for me! Normally I wouldn’t encourage anyone to brush wet hair, but this brush was made to detangle and massage wet or dry hair! It doesn’t pull on my hair and feels great! If you have hair that’s prone to tangles, you have to try this out! Available at Ulta for $8.99.
9. Maybelline Volum' Express the Falsies Big Eyes Washable Mascara
I was so excited to see a drugstore beauty product like Maybelline’s Big Eyes mascara! Now we get the best of both worlds with a separate wand for upper and lower lashes. If you have wimpy lower lashes like mine, a smaller wand can make a huge difference in the application and overall look. This is such a convenient and innovative item to have in your beauty bag! Available at Ulta for $7.99.
10. Eau Thermale Avène Cleansing Foam and Mattifying Fluid
This next beauty product is a dream come true for gals like me with oily skin. Eau Thermale Avène created a cleansing foam and mattifying fluid that keeps oil in check without drying out our skin. It is a two-step process, however, the results are well worth it. Over time, this product will help reduce oil production without leaving your skin parched. Find it at Drugstore.com for $20 and $26.
11. Revlon File 'N Peel 6-in-1 File
Revlon's nail file might look like your ordinary emery board, but upon closer inspection you'll see that there are actually layers. This innovative, double-sided nail file has three sheets to each side (smoothing and shaping) so once you use the outermost layer until it's dull, you just peel it off and reveal a fresh new layer. Nail emergencies are now a thing of the past!
12. M.a.C. Masterclass Brushes
MAC is always coming out with the latest and greatest in all things makeup so their Masterclass brushes come as no surprise. These ergonomically designed brushes offer easy and precise application for both right and left-handed individuals. The brushes are dense and luxurious and is said to make makeup application a breeze for both the first-timer and the makeup master. Available at M.A.C. for $25, $32 and $42.
13. Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamels
Scented nail polish might not exactly be life-changing, but I think it's still quite an interesting product. I mean, I don't know many people who actually enjoy the scent of nail polish. So, why not add some pleasant fragrance to it and make the experience that much more enjoyable? These bottles are shaped to look like perfume bottles and contain essential oils that contain floral. fruity, spicy and what the brand calls "freshes." Available at Walgreens for $10 for a set of 2 bottles.
Beauty companies are always coming up with cute, clever and totally cool beauty products! Not all of these products are what I would call affordable, so be sure to check them out thoroughly before you buy. Sometimes beauty products can work out perfectly or they can be a total dud. What’s the most innovative beauty product you’ve tried?
