Effective DIY Beauty Recipes All Girls Need to Know ...

I'm always fascinated by DIY beauty treatments because they're generally inexpensive, safe, and even if you don't achieve the exact results you were hoping for, it's still a lot of fun to make and try! @farahdhukai, who I consider to be the queen of DIY beauty, has done tons of videos on at-home beauty treatments which she credits to her grandmother. Thanks to her, my DIY beauty game has gotten crazy good and I wanted to share some of my faves!

Use Clay to Detox Oily Skin and Hair

hair, black hair, face, clothing, nose, I wish I knew about this treatment 3 months ago! This hot weather has my oily skin and hair outta control. For this skin and hair detox, you'll need Rhassoul clay and water. You can find Rhassoul clay on Amazon or Farah says you can sub it for kaolin or bentonite clay. Mix up the clay and water until you get a creamy consistency. Next, apply the mixture to your face and neck. Use whatever you have left on your hair and cover with a plastic bag or shower cap to prevent it from drying completely. Allow the mixture to dry on your face and neck only. Rinse off the clay with lukewarm water and
admire your beautiful skin and hair!

Soak in Epsom Salt to Treat Body Acne

clothing, person, woman, fun, vacation, Epsom salt is a DIY beauty champ! It's cheap, versatile, and great for so many things. Fill up your tub with warm water and add two cups of Epsom salt. Next, step in the tub and relax for 10-20 minutes. Use a clean sponge, loofah, or cloth and massage the dissolved salt/water into your skin. Also, Farah advises using a body wash after your soak.Just use water and apply a natural moisturizer afterward. The last important point is to avoid using the salt on its own as a scrub. It's really abrasive and can irritate your skin!

Use Papaya to Lighten Acne Scars and Dark Spots

hair, face, black hair, eyebrow, black, This might be one of the few times unripened fruit comes in handy! Grab an unripened, green papaya and scoop out all of the seeds. Next, carefully peel the skin off and cut them into cubes. Place a handful of the cubed papaya into your blender and blend. If needed, add a little water to help your papaya blend easier until you get a nice paste. On your freshly washed face, apply the paste to any dark spots or apply it all over as an exfoliating mask. Unripened papaya contains natural AHAs for anti-aging and natural enzymes to exfoliate your skin. After 5-10 minutes, wash the mask off with lukewarm water and you're done!

Vitamin E and Evening Primrose Oil Eye Cream

hair, human hair color, eyebrow, face, black hair, Don't drop tons of cash on eye cream when you can make your very own at home. For this DIY, you'll need Evening Primrose Oil capsules, Vitamin E , Q-tips, and a small container to keep the cream in. Sanitize some scissors with alcohol and cut open about 4 EPO capsules. Depending on the size of your container, you might need less or more. Make sure you leave enough room for the Vitamin E! Next, add some Vitamin E Oil, just add little by little and mix with a Q-tip. When you're ready to apply, grab a clean Q-tip, mix up the cream, then dot it on your undereye area, and blend gently with your ring fingers. This cream reduces inflammation, moisturizes, is anti-aging, and reduces the appearance of existing fine lines!
