Most of us aren't aware that the best natural ways to whiten your teeth are actually the simplest ways too. You don't have to buy those expensive products or get pricey treatments. 1. Buy Baking Soda

Baking soda is cheap, easy to find, and is one of the best natural ways to whiten your teeth. Add just a pinch to some toothpaste, mix it up in a little bowl, and brush your teeth with the mixture at least once per day. I like to use it at night, since I've eaten all day, to remove the most stains from my teeth. Baking soda naturally whitens your teeth and in a more concentrated form, it has dramatic results. Be sure to rinse well afterwards since it doesn't taste too great if left in your teeth!

2. Eat Strawberries

Strawberries have been found to be one of the best natural ways to whiten your teeth. Their teeny tiny seeds act like little bitty scrubbers on your teeth, whisking away dirt and grime. Eat 1/2 cup a day for best results. Strawberries are also tasty and low-calorie, which make them guilt-free.

3. Ditch Coffee and Soda

I love, love, love coffee! Seriously, it's one of my favorite things in the world, but I actually gave it up because it was ruining my teeth. No matter what I tried to use with the coffee to offset the stains, my teeth just looked yellow. So, I gave up coffee for complete vanity purposes. My teeth are now sparkling again and radiantly white. Soda does the same thing as coffee in terms of staining your teeth, as does dark tea. Soda is high in sugar overall, so I would avoid it anyway. If you can't give up your coffee or tea, think about drinking them through a straw to offset the direct contact with your teeth.

4. Brush Your Teeth after Every Meal

This can be a hard habit to start, but I've been doing this for 8 years now and the results have been phenomenal! Brushing after meals is not only great to help whiten your teeth, but it is also better for your breath, gums and halting your appetite after meals. I carry a travel toothbrush and a tube of toothpaste in my purse at all times and make it a habit to visit the ladies room after every meal out, or here at home, to brush my teeth. If someone looks at you funny, they'll get over it. More than likely, they'll think you're super healthy to be taking care of your teeth so efficiently. You may even start a trend!

5. Buy a Natural Toothpaste with Whitening Power

Many standard toothpastes are filled with terrible chemicals that can wreak havoc on your health and have been linked to cancer. Buy a natural toothpaste with whitening powers such as Tom's of Maine toothpastes. They contain natural whitening ingredients from nature, and are tremendously effective. I also like Jason's PowerSmile Whitening Toothpaste.

6. Floss

This is one habit I still have a hard time remembering. Flossing is crucial for keeping those stains in the creases of your gums away. It is also very important to floss to prevent gum disease. Grab a cheap pack of floss and make it a habit! You won't regret it and you'll also feel so much better with a clean mouth!

7. Use Lemons

Lemons are great for your teeth. Their ascorbic acid in the form of Vitamin C acts like a whitening wash for your teeth. While I don't suggest rubbing them on your teeth, try just using a little squeeze in your water and tea when you can. Lemons are easy to use, cheap to purchase, and available at any supermarket.

White teeth give a healthy impression, and they also make you feel more confident. Your smile is your best asset, so work it! Just use these natural ways to whiten your teeth and ditch all the other stuff. Do you have any favorite ways to whiten your teeth naturally?

Baking soda is harsh for teeth but it works wonders, had to try 😁

You shouldn't brush your teeth after every meal! Food contains stuff that makes the top layer of your teeth soft, so brushing your teeth right after you've eaten will destroy your teeth on the long run. Especially after you've eaten fruit or soda! I've asked my dentist and he did not approve of this method - at all!

Very informative... Thanks!

@Liya Exactly, the acidity wears away your top layer of enamel to reveal a slightly whiter layer underneath. Wearing away enamel, though, is THE worst thing you can do to your teeth as they'll eventually become grey - the colour of the 3rd/4th onwards layers. I think I'll stick to a bit of yellow that I can brush off rather than grey and weak teeth, thanks!

I would choose Jason toothpaste over Tom's. Tom's contains sulphates.

*not coconut oil, baking soda!

You should wait about 30 min to brush your teeth otherwise the acidity from your food can cause you to brush your enamel off

You actually should NOT brush your teeth immediately after eating. This can cause extra damage to enamel. Experts recommend brushing before eating or waiting at least an hour after eating.

What about lemon water?
