10 Personal Flaws to Embrace ...

There are many personal flaws to embrace because it's typically our imperfections that make us flawless. All too often, women focus on one of the traits they don’t like, and cannot get past it. But that will lead to nothing but stress every time you look in the mirror. Stop stressing and start embracing your imperfections! These are some common flaws that women tend to dislike, but each so-called “flaw” has so many perks that people don’t realize.

1. Pale Skin

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Everyone has personal flaws to embrace, even me. There have been countless times when people have commented on how pale I am. I would try to get more sun, but it is not worth risking my health just for a glow. So embracing my pale skin was one of the best things I've done. I can use more dramatic make up, I can wear colors that tan people can’t, and I can have a more glamorous and vintage look. When looking at my favorite fashion icons, I realize that most of them are on the paler side. Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and Grace Kelly were all fabulous women who rocked pale skin. So join the ranks and slap on that sun screen to keep your awesome pale looks.

2. Freckles

(Your reaction) Thank you!

I don’t know why people dislike their freckles. I know girls who layer on make up just in an attempt to hide their freckles. But I think freckles are adorable and make you unique. They give you a look of innocence and make you looked sun kissed at all times. So stop covering up those freckles and flaunt them, girl!

3. Small Boobs

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Sometimes, the things you consider personal flaws make other people envious. To be honest, I have always been kind of jealous of girls with boobs on the smaller side. They don’t have to wear a bra with some shirts, they can wear a wider variety of tops and dresses, and they don’t have to double up on sports bras when they run. And don't get me started on trying to dress conservative with big boobs...it's so annoying. So to all those girls out there who want larger boobs, wrap your arms around yourself and hug your small boobies. They have more advantages than you would think.

4. Big Boobs

(Your reaction) Thank you!

That being said, girls with large boobs should love them just as much as girls with small boobs should love theirs. First of all (and this might seem weird but it's true), you can use your boobs as a tray to hold things. It can be quite convenient when your hands are full. And I keep my phone in my bra when I run and it stays totally put. Also, having larger boobs can help give you more of a defined hourglass figure.

5. Curly Hair

(Your reaction) Thank you!

I’ve seen girls who have battled with their curly hair for years. They turn to treatment after product after treatment, trying to get straight, shiny locks. But I always wondered why they didn’t just embrace their curly hair. It is so unique and really gives them a natural look. Use a de-frizzing scrunching spray or mousse to smooth your hair while keeping those curls that make you so special.

6. Thick Eyebrows

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Put down those tweezers, ladies! Thick eyebrows are yet another personal flaw to embrace, because they are such a fashionable trend this season. They are bold, defined, and draw attention to your gorgeous eyes. With a simple bit of maintenance and some eyebrow gel to keep them in place, you'll be ready to take on the world with that daring stare.

7. Glasses

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Why is everyone so eager to get contact lenses? Glasses are so much fun. There are so many different frames, you can change up your look as much as you want. And, like thick eyebrows, they draw attention to your beautiful eyes. So go for that sexy librarian look that drives the boys wild and swap those contacts for a pair of glasses. Because being a "four-eyes" is sexy!

8. Short

(Your reaction) Thank you!

As a short girl, I have been called everything from fun-sized to hobbit. At first I was fed up with it, but then I learned that being short isn’t so bad. First of all, I can wear heels as often as I like without looking out of place. Short people don’t have to bend down to give hugs and they have a better center of balance (although I am a klutz, so that one doesn’t really apply to me). So next time you need someone to reach something on the top shelf for you at the grocery store, embrace your short-ness and ask a cute boy to get it for you.

9. Tall

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Short girls don’t get all the fun. Tall girls have those endless legs that go on for miles, which I have always aspired to have. You can wear comfy shoes instead of heels and still be taller than everyone. And, you can always see over everyone else (something that is completely foreign to me and I wish I could experience just once in my life). So strut it like a model and work those long legs. They're not personal flaws, they're total assets!

10. Curvy Hips

(Your reaction) Thank you!

I don’t know what happened to society but curvy hips used to be considered the epitome of what a women was. They are a natural sign of fertility and give you that hourglass figure that boys drool over. Don't hide your hips, flaunt them! So wear those hip hugging skirts and dresses and work it girl!!

Every girl has personal flaws to embrace, problem areas that she sees as imperfect. In truth, those areas make you beautiful, unique, and special. You just have to own them! Have you ever been upset with one of these traits? What personal flaws have you learn to embrace?
