1. Smile
There’s nothing more beautiful than a smile, right? When you see someone smiling, you likely think they look better than if they were frowning. Smiling is actually one of the best ways to feel beautiful, even if you’re faking it. So, smile, smile, smile! In the words of Buddy the Elf – “I just like smiling. Smiling’s my favorite.” There – beautiful already!
2. Exercise
Probably the last thing you want to do when you feel crappy is to exercise, but research shows that it can boost your mood and make you feel much better. When you work out, your body pumps feel good endorphins throughout your body. Plus, exercise gives your skin a rosy and healthy glow and there’s something truly beautiful about that. Also, when you’re at your happy weight, you just naturally feel lovelier, right?

3. Wear Some Color
Yes, you can absolutely look gorgeous in black, brown and white, but those drab colors don’t do a lot for making you feel better. When you need a boost to your self-esteem, add a bit of color to your look. Maybe you toss on a bright pink scarf or wear those great turquoise heels. Whatever you decide to do, some color will perk up your look and your mood.

I think we can all agree that there’s nothing beautiful about a breakout or red, raw skin. I don’t know about you, but when I have a monster pimple, I sure don’t feel all that good looking. 5. Sleep More
I know it’s hard to stop what you’re doing and hit the hay at an earlier hour. Hey, we all have busy lives, right? However, experts say that getting a little bit of extra snooze time can make you feel better about everything, including your looks. Try this – go to bed about an hour earlier than you usually do. Gauge how you feel the next morning. Pretty great, right? Do that once or twice a week and you’ll feel so beautiful!
6. Do Something for Someone else
You know that satisfaction you get when you do something nice for someone else? And how beautiful it makes you feel to do a good deed? There’s a reason for that. Again, it gives you a surge of endorphins to feel that good. All those feel good chemicals coursing through your veins will make you feel great about yourself, from the inside out.
7. Get a Makeover
There’s no mistaking how great you feel and look when you get a makeover. Next time you’re feeling down in the dumps about your appearance, try something new. Get a fabulous new haircut or try a new make-up routine. Buy new clothes. Whatever it takes!
