8 Tips for Girls Who Want to Have Flawless Skin in Their Photos ...

How many times have you seen a picture of yourself and thought, "Man, does my skin really look that bad?" I know I’ve been there and I am sure many other girls have too. Unfortunately, cameras and bad lighting can be a little unforgiving. Luckily with good makeup, the right tools, and technology we can make our skin look better in photographs every time.

1 Sheer Foundation

Some girls think that a heavy foundation is best for pictures, but some experts disagree. You want to see your natural skin, but still hide imperfections like red marks and blemishes. Try something that is sheer yet offers a good coverage. What kind of foundation do you wear in pictures?

Frequently asked questions

2 Don’t Forget Your Ears

I’ll be honest and say that I am not one to think about my ears needing foundation, but when it’s picture time you need to cover those babies up. Our ears get red sometimes and a little foundation will help mask that in pictures.

3 Masking Tape

Sounds funny, right? Using masking tape under your eyes and anywhere else on the face will help lift up any shadow particles that have fallen without ruining the work you’ve put in on the rest of your makeup. Do this before patting your skin with powder. This trick might come in handy for more than just pictures.

4 Dawn or Dusk

For the best results take pictures at dawn or dusk. The sunlight during the middle of the day is right overhead. It creates shadows on the face and skin and makes the forehead look unflattering. The light at dusk is warm and more flattering.

5 Cloudy Days

Photographs taken on a cloudy day are great for your skin. They bring natural soft light that doesn’t put as much focus on fine lines of a women’s face. The clouds act as a light diffuser creating a soft look.

6 Clean Skin

Of course, clean skin is good too. If you want to have good skin in photographs, make sure to wash your face regularly and use moisturizer. Take care of your skin and it will look good in pictures.

7 Different Camera Mode

The camera on my phone has a beautiful face mode. It makes my skin look absolutely flawless. I try not to use it very often, but it's nice to know it's there when I need a little help.

8 Touch-ups

Of course, if all else fails we have the power of technology. If you take a picture that is perfect in every other way, try a few photo editing tricks to improve your skin. With the right software, you can get rid of wrinkles, add light to shadows, and soften the overall complexion of your skin.

We all want our skin to look gorgeous in pictures. There are many different ways to achieve it. How do you make your skin look better in photographs?
