A great way to use essential oil is to use it as a safer air freshener or use it to lightly scent your linens. If you want to help make your room or bed linens a more relaxing place to be, grab a spray bottle and some lavender essential oil. Fill up the spray bottle to about 4 ounces and add about 20-30 drops of the oil, or simply add it until you’re satisfied with the scent.

Tea tree oil can be a bit strong so you should always dilute a drop of tea tree oil to 5 drops (or even more) of water before you test it out on your forearm. Once you find the perfect blend, apply it to the affected area with a cotton ball and leave it on overnight for clearer skin!

Try dragon time, ginger, lavender, geranium, clary sage or peppermint as a topical treatment for cramps and other PMS symptoms. Mix a few drops of one of the oils mentioned above with an ounce of carrier oil (grapeseed, jojoba or sweet almond oil) and apply liberally to your low back, hips and tummy.

Peppermint oil is a really versatile oil and you can use it to relieve not just headaches but nausea, motion sickness, colds and sprains. It’s a commitment but this method is also known to prevent bladder infections as well.
