7 Beauty Staples Every Girl Should Own ...

I have the tendency to splurge on a lot of beauty products, but there are some products I own that are some must have beauty staples and I tote them around with me everywhere! These products are classic and simple and are the backbone for even the most extravagant looks. The best thing about them is that anyone can put them to good use and they’re super affordable. These beauty staples are timeless, and definitely should be something you keep in your purse!

1 Chapstick

Chapstick No matter the season, Chapstick is one of the ultimate beauty staples! Nowadays, there’s so many kinds to choose from, it's easy to find the one that best suits your needs. Whether your lips tend to become chapped like mine in the winter, or you’re just looking for something with a little SPF in it during those hot summer days, Chapstick is your go-to product. I apply my Chapstick continuously throughout the day to keep my lips hydrated, moisturized and super soft, and the best part about it is that its super affordable and can be found at nearly any store for around a dollar!

2 Vaseline

Vaseline This little product is a lifesaver is so many ways! It is a versatile product and can be used for numerous beauty uses. During cold winter months I use it on all over my body, especially the rough spots like knees, elbows, and feet. I also apply a generous amount of Vaseline to my lips before bed. It leaves them soft and supple the next morning! This next use is a big one and it can save you a ton of money too! Vaseline also works as a makeup remover. Rather than going out and purchasing a high-end makeup remover, you can use Vaseline instead! There’s so many uses for such a simple product, if I were you girl, I’d pick some up right now!

3 Oil Blotting Sheets

Oil Blotting Sheets Offered by nearly every beauty brand on the market today, oil blotting strips are an essential beauty staple that every woman should own, especially if you’re like me and always on the go. I tend to have combination to dry skin, but some days my t-zone area on my face can become super oily and I can admit, it's kind of embarrassing at times. With these oil blotting strips you can use them anywhere and simply blot off excess oil and buildup from your skin that can potentially cause clogged pores and result in horrible acne. One of the best things about this product is that you can blot away but they won’t smudge your makeup at all. Score! II definitely keep these nearby in my bag at all times!

4 Dry Shampoo

Dry Shampoo I can’t even begin to tell you how many times dry shampoo has saved my life just in this past year alone! Dry shampoo is perfect to use in between washes, and it’s super fast! If you’re trying to cut down on how many times a week you wash your hair like I am, these will be perfect for you, they remove the buildup from your scalp and allow you flaunt your most recent beautiful hairstyle for a day longer! Dry shampoo is also ideal to use after workouts if you’re not able to immediately wash your hair and freshen up.

5 Mascara

Mascara Whether I’m doing a full face of makeup or just a simple look to help me get out the door quick, I always make sure to apply mascara. Mascara is a wonder tool that can take you from looking drab to fab in just a matter of seconds. It instantly makes you appear bright eyed and alert and can definitely come in handy for any and every occasion. There are plenty of brands and formulas to choose one but choose one that doesn’t need to be applied in several coats and doesn’t clump very easily to give you that natural look.

6 Cuticle Pen

Cuticle Pen I love a fresh manicure. The only thing I love more than a fresh manicure is keeping my manicure looking fresh; that’s where a cuticle pen comes in at. I’m a girl that’s always on the go so I make sure to keep a cuticle pen handy to soothe rough cuticles and to help my mani look and feel like I just got them done. If your nails are prone to hangnails like mine, then this is definitely the product for you. Cuticle pens are sold everywhere, my favorite only cost me a dollar. Invest in a cuticle pen and keep your new mani looking good too!

7 Lotion

Lotion Lotion is a must to give your skin a radiant and healthy glow. Not only do they smell great but they can do wonders for your skin and combat dryness during all seasons! If you’re looking for something a thicker formula during the colder months, try switching to a body butter rather than lotion. Overall, lotion can enhance the look and feel of your skin in just a few uses and you’ll love the compliments you’ll receive!

There are plenty of beauty products out there to choose from, but every woman has to have her go-to products that never let her down. These products are simple, affordable, and come in handy often. You’ll be glad you bought them! What are your beauty staples?
