7 Reasons to Take a Bath ...

Aside from the obvious, there are many great reasons to take a bath. And I say, "bath," instead of shower, because the benefits to actually filling up a tub of water is much more beneficial. Here are seven great reason to take a bath, instead of a shower.

1

Taking a Bath Will Relax You

Relaxation is one of my favorite reasons to take a bath. It is so relaxing! There is nothing better than a nice, warm tub of water and some candles, maybe a nice piece of dark chocolate... what a life!

2

Eases the Mind

Not only does taking a bath relax your muscles, it relaxes your mind. While you're taking a bath, you can temporarily let the day's worries and troubles just melt away. Forget all your problems and let your mind rest while you take a bath, huh?

3

Removes Toxins

A good, hot bath helps you to sweat out the toxins from your body. Toxins in your body can cause all sorts of health issues like chronic fatigue, insomnia, body odor, acne, eczema, poor digestion, constipation, memory loss, moodiness, even hormonal imbalances. So, taking a good bath to help sweat the toxins from your body could greatly improve your health.

4

A Bath Increases Blood Flow

Taking a bath helps your blood flow by increasing the rate of nourishing blood cells to damaged tissue. With increased blood flow, you will have better cell growth and organ function. Your skin and most importantly your heart will also benefit.

5

Boosts Immune System

Believe it or not, taking a bath can even help you boost immune system! Taking a bath stimulates your lymph nodes which, in turn, will help you lower your risk of colds and infection by encouraging the bacteria-destroying properties of your immune system. How about that for a reason to take a bath?

Moisturizes and Softens

A nice, warm bath softens your skin and opens the pores to allow for moisturizing. Because of this, it's a great idea to follow with baby oil or a good lotion to lock in that moisture!

7

It Could save Money

If you use less money. If you are like me, and enjoy longer times in the water, you would probably save more money by running a bath than you would taking a shower. But that is just an opinion... I have nothing to back this one up.

See? There are many great reasons to take a bath! What do you think? Do you prefer a shower or bath? Do these facts change your opinion? I'd love to hear from you!

Baths are also great for body aches - back aches, leg aches. The hotter (the temperature your body can handle) the better - for aches and pains.

I love taking baths especially after a long day at work with a glass of wine and a good book.

Wow im impresed!

While all of these points are right, a bath does mean that you are floating around whatever dirt comes off of your body. A shower is good from the fact that it cleans you, but a bath has far more benefits!

They r very soothing but I don't like sitting in my own dirt

Baths are great, but I always shower off afterwards because I don't want any residue or grime left on my skin.

I have no choice really but its still really relaxing!

I take a bath almost every night. Definitely soothes my mind, body and soul!! :)
