1. Body Lotion

One of the most common beauty uses for coconut oil is body lotion. If you’re into DIY projects, you can actually make your own body lotion with the oil and use it every day. For the necessary ingredients and directions, check out the sources at the end of the article.

Coconut oil has inherent moisturizing qualities, thanks to its rich content of fatty acids that can help to nourish and hydrate the skin deeply. By making your own lotion, you're harnessing these benefits directly. You can personalize the lotion with essential oils for added fragrance or therapeutic properties. Remember, a little goes a long way, so start by applying a small amount to your skin until you achieve the desired level of moisture. Consistent use can lead to softer, smoother, and more radiant skin over time.

2. Makeup Remover

If your makeup remover leaves smudged mascara on your face or you feel that it doesn’t quite get rid of everything, tell that bottle to move over! There is nothing coconut oil can’t remove. Apply some of the oil onto your face to act as an oil cleanser or let it sit on your skin with a cotton pad and watch as the makeup melts right off.

3. Lip Balm

Although the winter is over (finally...and thank God), keep coconut oil handy during the next winter for sure. The oil is an ideal remedy for your chapped lips no matter what season. Buy a little jar at Target or Wal-Mart and carry the oil around in your purse all day. It’s the best way to get sexy, smooth lips!

4. Itch Relief

If your average itch relief cream causes more harm than good, try lathering on some coconut oil for instant relief and quick results. You can use the oil on bug bites, burns, and even bruises.

5. Leave-in Conditioner

Oils for your hair can be expensive. Why go out and buy top of the line, expensive oils when you can go buy coconut oil, save money, and get the same results? It’s that simple! Apply a small amount to your hair while it’s still wet and let it sit for maximum moisture.

6. Frizz Fighter

Personally, I don’t like when my hair feels stiff or sticky when I use frizz-fighting sprays. Rather than putting chemicals in your hair, take a dime-sized amount of coconut oil in your hands and apply it to those pesky flyaways. This will add shine to your gorgeous hair as well as free your face from frizz.

7. Prevent Stretch Marks

If you’ve had a baby, you're expecting a baby, or you're just working out a lot, make sure to keep a jar of coconut oil near you at all times. It’s crazy to think that it works but it does! Perfect example (TMI but true story): I tricked my brother into using coconut oil on the stretch marks he has formed due to weight lifting. Long and behold, the marks are fading, which left us both in awestruck wonder that such a simple ingredient is so effective!

8. Breath Freshener

No, I am not going to tell you to eat the oil in order to get fresh breath! But shockingly enough, if you gargle with a spoonful of coconut oil for 20 minutes, the concoction can actually help clear germs in your mouth and give you fresher breather, healthier gums, and whiter teeth! Since coconut oil has antifungal and antibacterial properties, you can expect results every time.

9. Under-eye Cream

Similar to the crazy amounts of money most women spend on hair products, eye creams also typically cost a fortune. Now you officially have an inexpensive, healthy, and effective solution to both your skin and hair dilemmas! Dab some coconut oil under your eyes to reduce lines. The oil is very light and will delicately caress your face.

Who knew coconut oil could do so much, right? Hopefully these quick, healthy, and new beauty tips will help make your day brighter! Which beauty use for coconut oil are you going to try?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I use it for my acne and the scars and I have noticed a lot of improvement

My fave shampoo Healthy Skin for a Happy LIfe has real coconut oil in it - SO good. Love the results!

does gargling really work?

you swish it around in your mouth for 20 minutes and it's called oil pulling I had a hard time doing the whole twenty minutes cause you start to drool and there's only so much room in your mouth lol. and for these tips like the stretch Mark one should I melt it first or leave it solid and smooth it over?

You don't gargle it but you do swish it around your mouth for 20 mins. Look it up, there are a lot of befits for oil pulling

I love using coconut oil as a makeup remover, it practically slides right off and doesn't irritate my eyes.

How do you gargle for 20 minutes?

I always use it in my hair over night - like a mask - and it makes my hair so so soft! it's the best beauty thing I've ever bought.

Are you sure you don't mean gargle for 20 seconds? That is what I have observed with a LOT of the posts in All Womens Talk, no one seems to proof what they write.... Are your followers not worth it?
