If you’re anything like me, you want to make the most of your beauty routine because you don’t have a ton of time to get it done. I have three kids so getting myself ready often takes a back burner to making sure they’re ready to go every day. Over time, I’ve gotten better at being quick about it. If my space is super messy, I tend to just give up because I can’t find the stuff I want and I don’t have the time to organize. The trick to make the most of your beauty routine is to set aside some time in the evening or on the weekend to go through your beauty products and get rid of what you don’t use while organizing what you want to keep. Group like items together, so you know exactly where each product is. Keep everything in a convenient place so you’re always ready to go.

Use Multi-Purpose Products

Have you ever seen those sticks that can be eye shadow, blush and lip stain? If you want to totally get the most out of your routine, consider stocking up on these types of items. That way you can swipe it on several places and go. I love these because you can do a full look with just a couple of items, which you can toss in your purse for freshening up on the go.

Create a Solid Routine

I always carry out my skincare treatments in the exact same order and I always apply my make-up in the exact same order. Doing this creates a habit out of the entire process so you can do it quickly and efficiently even when time is tight. A solid routine like this also ensures that you don’t forget any of the steps and end up looking just the way you want to look when you’re finished.

Minimize Your Hair Care Products

There are so many hair care items on the market that I sometimes feel bad not buying them all. The truth is that you don’t need them all. Experts say that a minimal routine keeps your hair from getting weighed down with products. Plus, if just a couple do the job, why spend the time and money on the ones you don’t need?

Wash Once a Day

Many skincare and beauty experts recommend washing your face only once a day, especially when the weather warms up. That’s because more than that can strip off the oils that your body needs to stay hydrated and beautiful. To make your morning routine quicker, simply splash with cool water and gently pat dry, then put on your make-up and go.

Air Dry

There’s no rule that says you have to blow dry your hair every morning. In fact, heat styling can really do a number on your hair. For certain textures and styles, air drying is ideal. Give yourself a break now and then and let your hair dry on its own. You might be surprised to find that you love the natural look.

Use Tinted Products

Of course you want a healthy glow to your skin when you go out into the world. But that doesn’t mean you can’t achieve that look without multiple products. Try a tinted moisturizer to give your face and body a tanned appearance. Use tinted lip balm to moisturize your lips and give them a bit of color at the same time. See – easy as pie!

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I don't necessarily agree to the wash once a day. Makeup lays better on the skin when it is clean and fresh. And it is good for sanitary reasons. I would wash your face twice a day but in the mornings use a face wash that is for sensitive skin and follow with a good moisturizer. This will keep your skin beautiful and hydrated.

I agree with kynzie, wash your face twice a day is a must

My skin is very dry so I started only washing it nightly and mornings I just use a micellar water. Made a huge difference!

Twice definitely! Morning and night and you said!
