7 Best Drugstore Beauty Products ...
By Heather

I’m a beauty product addict, but also don’t have hundreds to spend on my indulgences, so I turn to drugstore beauty products for all of my needs. Though most of us use some or all drugstore beauty products, many of us know that some are better than others. There are tons of products out there with unhealthy ingredients that are toxic, irritating to the skin, and just plain out don’t work. Here are 7 drugstore beauty products that I’ve been using for years and loving the results.

1. Cetaphil Cleanser

Cetaphil Cleanser This is by far the best and most effective face wash and makeup remover of all drugstore beauty products. I have read throughout several magazines that many celebs use this magical product too. It doesn’t only clean the skin, but leaves it soft without irritation. It has incredibly mild ingredients, and though it is about $11 for the large container, I find it lasts about 3 months since you only need a small amount for it to work effectively. It is perfect for all types of skin from oily to dry or sensitive.

2. St. Ives Body Lotion

St. Ives Body Lotion If you’re looking for a great lotion that’s inexpensive, effective and smells incredible, this is it. Better than all that is the fact that its ingredients are non-toxic, and not tested on animals. I love that it keeps my body hydrated without any greasy residue and it smells great! My favorite scent is the Coconut Milk Orchid Extract scent.

3. Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm

Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm This is my favorite lip balm for dryness and when I need a touch of color. All the ingredients are natural and smell great. I highly recommend this product if your lips need sustainable color and moisture.

4. Physician’s Formula Bronzer

Physician’s Formula Bronzer I love a good bronzer, but I don’t want to pay a fortune. My favorite so far is Physician’s Formula bronzer, which comes in a variety of shades with a tint of golden color. All the ingredients are non-toxic and won’t irritate the skin. It’s much less expensive than those bronzers from the makeup counter too.

If you're in the relentless hunt for the perfect mascara, that not only volumizes but also gives your lashes the much-needed lift, then you should absolutely give the dior show mascara a try. It's undeniably one of the best mascaras that guarantees both length and volume while leaving no clumps behind.

5. Neutrogena Age Shield anti-Oxidant Face Lotion with 70 SPF

Neutrogena Age Shield anti-Oxidant Face Lotion with 70 SPF This is by far the best moisturizer I’ve found. Surprisingly, it even keeps the acne away! I’ve used several sunscreens that irritate my skin, burn, or make it break out. This is the only one that seems to work for me, and it’s available all year round, not just in summer. The bonus is, some of the ingredients also help tighten the skin and fight wrinkles! Even if I don’t have wrinkles yet, I love how tight it makes my skin, while also keeping it super soft.

6. Organix Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

Organix Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner Argan oil is a hot commodity right now in the world of hair care. I have terribly dry hair, but one would never know it because I use this fabulous shampoo and conditioner by the brand Organix that features argan oil. Argan oil softens and hydrates hair to create shininess and prevent breakage, without creating oiliness. Don’t pay a pretty penny for those other pricey products. This shampoo and conditioner is around $6, so use it once or twice a week to make it last. You’ll be able to tell a huge difference right after you use it, and it smells great!

7. Loreal’s Voluminous Mascara

Loreal’s Voluminous Mascara Any modeling show or pageant I’ve ever been in has always had a few tubes of this stuff backstage. It is the best mascara for rich lashes and it doesn’t flake. It thickens, lengthens and creates a dramatic lash without irritation or flakiness. I love this mascara and it will always be one of my favorites.

Being beautiful should not break your bank account! I love that all of these products last a long time, they are effective and I can get them at any drugstore on any corner pretty much anywhere. Trust me, I’ve been in a vacation bind when I’ve left my favorites at home by mistake, and it’s comforting to know I can get a replacement at any store nearby without it costing too much. My favorite part is when I get compliments on my skin, hair or makeup and I reveal that my secret came from the drugstore! What are your favorite beauty drugstore products?

Where do you buy the Burt bees?

So for my face i can clean my face first with the wipes then wash cetaphil?

Almay!!! Cause I have so many allergies !

I hve used cetaphil for a long time, recently my derm told me that it is not a good make up remover AT ALL... Be sure to take your make up off first then wash your face, if not You are just spreading your make up around your face, if you dontwant or dont like to use make up remover at least wash twice

Revlon 24 hour color stay foundation make up is the truth!

Great products Heather! I was wondering if you knew of any good drugstore products for color treated hair? I've tried organix and some other things but they just dried my hair out really bad! Help!

I try to avoid brands that test on animals. I love the st Ives apricot scrub, it's my holy grail scrub. I also love hard candy concealer

Sleek brand r one of my fave drugstore product

Yes! Yes! And Yes! Cetaphil, Burt's Bees, and Voluminous mascara are essentials in my house! The Neutrogena sunblock is awesome too...I have super sensitive skin (thats why I use Cetaphil too!) and it doesn't give me a rash or burn like others do! I'll have to try the other things on this list:) thanks!
