1

Lip Balm

I have what some would call a lip balm addiction, I can't seem to go without it and I can never get enough. This is one of the easiest DIY beauty treatments to make and there are many ways to do it. The simplest way is to get some beeswax, coconut oil, fragrance oil (optional), and sweet almond oil together, melt it on a double boiler, and pour into a container -- and voila!

2

Microdermabrasion

You no longer have to try and book an appointment at a super swanky, hoity-toity spa to get a microdermabrasion beauty treatment. You can simply walk into your kitchen cupboard and grab that box of baking soda to gently exfoliate your skin and mimic the same effects as microdermabrasion. Simply mix some baking soda and warm water together, and use as you would a cleanser.

3

Face Mask

Face masks are some of the most popular DIY beauty treatments, so don't walk out of the kitchen yet! Grab some yogurt, it's okay if it's a few days past its expiration date, mix with honey (raw honey is best as it has antibacterial properties), and apply all over your face for a soothing and refreshing facial mask. Try to refrain from eating it after you're done with the mask!

4

Moisturizer

This is the easiest DIY treatment by far -- just swap coconut oil for your standard store bought cream. It smells absolutely divine and costs much less and is all natural. If you can't stand the smell of coconuts, try extra virgin olive oil instead, it'll work just as great.

5

Clarifying Hair Treatment

This is one of the most clever beauty treatments ever! Grab some apple cider vinegar and rinse it through your hair. After the apple cider vinegar, wash your hair with a small amount of shampoo (less than you would normally use) to remove any build-up in your scalp and hair. Don't worry, the vinegary scent should not stay in your hair and the fragrance from your shampoo and conditioner should cover it up so you don't smell like a freshly tossed salad!

Body Scrub

Ahhh, we all love the feel of soft skin and this DIY beauty treatment sure does the trick. Take olive oil and sea salt to make your own little body scrub. You'll be feeling all shiny and new afterward.

7

Hair Mask

If you've been overusing the flat iron and blow dryer, try this DIY treatment on for size. Just crack an egg and mix one tablespoon of water and apply it to your hair. Put your hair up in a shower cap or grab some plastic wrap and wrap your hair up for 10-15 minutes to maximize the effects of the mask.

Get some of these simple ingredients together for your DIY beauty treatments and prepare to be amazed at how stress-free, low-cost, and effective these beauty treatments are! If you aren’t a whiz in the kitchen making gourmet meals, you can whip up these easy DIY treatments and still feel like a domestic goddess. Do you have any other do-it-yourself beauty secrets to share?
