Give Yourself an All over Scrub with Sugar and Olive Oil

hair, eyebrow, face, person, black hair, This is my absolute favorite way to exfoliate my skin. There aren’t any harsh ingredients and I always have the stuff on hand for getting the job done. Simply combine equal parts white sugar and oil. Take the mixture into the shower and use it to gently exfoliate your entire body. Be careful because it can get slippery. You are going to be blown away by how soft and smooth your entire body feels when you get dried off.

2

Combine Coconut Oil and Oatmeal for Dry, Itchy Skin

hair, facial expression, human action, face, person, This really works – I’ve tried it! Start by grinding some oats in the blender to create a fine powder. Then combine it with liquid coconut oil until well combined. Let the mixture harden and you have a great balm for dry, itchy skin. This concoction is especially useful on eczema and can cure dry, chapped lips in an instant.

3

Do a Cellulite Wrap with Coffee Grounds

hair, face, facial expression, person, black hair, We’d all do just about anything to get rid of cellulite, right? While you can’t do that, you can certainly minimize its appearance. Skincare experts suggest gently massaging coffee grounds into your cellulite, then wrapping the area with plastic wrap. Wait 30 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Do this regularly and you should begin seeing results pretty quickly.

4

Use Spray Starch in Place of Dry Shampoo

hair, human action, person, nose, woman, Dry shampoo can be a lifesaver when your hair gets a little greasy, but you don’t have time to wash it. So what’s a girl to do when she runs out of dry shampoo? Spritz on spray starch instead. Because dry shampoo contains starch, the kind you use on your laundry can be just as effective. Spray it about 6 inches from your hair and it should soak up excess oil and leave your hair looking fresh and clean.

5

Use a Coffee Filter to Battle Oily Skin

human action, face, person, clothing, black hair, Oily skis is one of the only things that I hate about summer. My skin tends to get shinier when the temperature gets hotter. If you’re out of blotting papers or you don’t want to spend the money on them, just use a coffee filter instead. Gently press it to the oily areas and it will instantly soak up the grease, leaving you with a matte look in just seconds.

Use a Piece of Tape to Guide Your Eyeliner

hair, human hair color, face, eyebrow, black hair, Want to get a perfect cat’s eye, but don’t have a steady hand? I’ve been there. Instead of trying to master the technique freehand, give yourself a break and use tape. Simply press the tape to your eye where you want the line to go. Then carefully apply your cat’s eye and pull the tape off. You’ll have a flawless eyeliner application each and every time. Perfect!

Use Baking Soda to Whiten Your Teeth

hair, human hair color, face, blond, eyebrow, If you ever bake, you probably have baking soda in your pantry. Sprinkle a bit on your toothpaste when you brush and you should start seeing pearly, white teeth in no time at all. The baking soda works to remove surface stains, leaving clean teeth behind. Do this a couple of times each week and yellow teeth will be a thing of the past.

Ever tried any of these ideas? Do you plan to? Got any others to add?

*Good job Alyx* or just rub coconut oil all over your whole body

Will definitely be trying the coffee filter

Don't use baking soda on your teeth! Your enamel will be scraped away. That's not something you get back. It will make your teeth more prone to cavities, and staining! It's the WORST thing for your teeth. Get a 5$ whitening toothpaste with SAFE non damaging ingredients.

The eyeliner trick works every time.

Tape should also only be medical tape. And even then, rarely use it. Tape on that delicate eye area will create premature wrinkles from being pulled, especially by harsh scotch tape adhesive.

Also, if you have body acne, don't use the sugar scrub (which shouldn't be white sugar it should be brown as white sugar is jagged and brown is round and smooth). Instead you can use ground up sea salt. Use less than you would sugar. But it will help heal body acne instead of feeding it and making it worse.

baking soda used regularly for teeth whitening expresses beautiful results.

Mashed strawberries also work as teeth whitening products
