It is a known fact that Kourtney Kardashian, a mother of three at age 39 looks way younger than many girls in their twenties, especially of recent.
I have been stalking her on Instagram and I have to say she's not aging at all, she's either a vampire or she has a really great skin care routine, this had me watching many YouTube videos of her skincare routine.
To be honest after watching most of the videos of how she takes care of her skin, I realized she does pretty basic things. So here are a few things have learned from Kourtney Kardashian and want you to try too.
I have watched a lot of extravagant celebrity skin care videos, these people spend thousands of dollars on skin care, I read a story about Kim Kardashian spending about $1260 on morning skin care. Most of us don't have this amount of money and even if we did, we would definitely not spend it on our skin, am I right?
However, Kourtney says she has tried out a couple of over zealous skin care products she didn't like, so she prefers natural skin care such as: honey and coconut oil. There are so many DIY skincare treatments making use of natural products out there. It not only saves money, but also keeps you away from artificial products that can be really harmful to your skin.
I learned this on E! special when the Kardashians were interviewed on their various skin care secrets. Kim and Kourtney admitted to always putting oil under their eyelids before going to bed. Kourtney uses facial oil very night on her eyelids, under eye, neck and hands. This is something I think everyone would be willing to try as it isn't over zealous.
She washes her face and uses sunscreen regularly. So wherever you are going put on some sunscreen, either to the gym, to school or even to the market store. Use your sunscreen regularly. She said she carries sunscreen around and even puts it in her car.
I am glad she said this because I never knew this was even legit. Just put a hot wash cloth on your face, leave it for a few minutes, use it to also scrub your face and that's it. This is my new thing now, I am not sure if it works, but it makes me feel fresh and all, plus there's no harm in taking care of your skin.
A key ingredient: Manuka honey. I watched a particular episode of keeping up with the Kardashians where Kourtney talked about her love for honey and how she is the ambassador of Manuka doctors: skincare line. In her YouTube video she talks about how she has always been using Manuka honey before she even became the ambassador of the skincare line.
So how does she make the facial scrub?
- One tablespoon of organic oil
- One tablespoon of Manuka honey
- One tablespoon of organic sugar raw.
- So you mix this together and you have your facial scrub.
All I am saying is caring for your skin isn't always about using the most expensive facials in the world. In fact it is safer to use natural products for your skin, don't fall into trends. You will get the satisfaction that you don't have to use artificial things which includes use of chemicals. I hope you loved this and it was helpful.
