1. Cupcake Toothpaste
This is definitely one of the quirky health and beauty products that I could never see myself buying! I recently wrote a post on cupcake-themed products and while I could see myself using and enjoying the majority of those items, I can’t justify spending $6 on pastry-flavored toothpaste! There’s no telling whether it actually works or if it’s just frosting in a tube, but I have to take a pass on this one! Available at shopjeen.com for $6.
2. Blood Bath Shower Gel
Just when you thought you’ve seen it all, there’s shower gel that looks like a bag of blood! If you’re looking for a gag gift or just something to keep in your bathroom to freak out friends and family, this’ll work just fine. This bloody shower gel actually smells like cherries and won’t require any medical staff to use. Available at thinkgeek.com for $8.99.

3. Poo Pourri Sh*ttin' Pretty Toilet Deodorizer
This next quirky product is odd, but it might actually come in handy! You just spritz this stuff before you do the deed and it creates a barrier on the water’s surface. The spray is intended to keep unpleasant odors from coming into contact with the air, thus creating a more pleasant fragrance than what nature intended. I know toilet deodorizers aren’t something we like to talk about but hey, it’s better to be safe than sorry! Available at poopourri.com for $9.95.
4. Hask Henna 'n Placenta Hair Conditioning Treatment
I’m all about deep conditioning my hair so I might try this next beauty product even though the ingredients are on the strange side. Hask’s hair conditioning treatment contains animal placenta - that’s right, placenta. In case you weren’t aware, the placenta is the organ that provides oxygen and nutrients to the animal baby and removes waste products from the baby's blood. Hey, some people eat placenta, so perhaps using it in your hair might not be so bad. Available at discountbeautycenter.com for $0.99.
5. Smashbox O-GLOSS - Intuitive Lip Gloss with Goji Berry-C Complex
Smashbox makes a lot of great beauty products but this particular lip product caught my attention. This lip gloss is intuitive and reacts to your personal skin chemistry to create a custom pink lip gloss that’s all your own! This might not seem like a quirky beauty product to some, but intuitive lip glosses are kinda unusual and it sounds like fun to use! Available at sephora.com for $23.
6. Bacon Soap
Forget soothing scents like cucumber melon or florals, the scent of bacon is apparently where it’s at! I personally don’t know anyone who wants to smell like bacon after taking a shower but to each her own! This soap looks and smells like bacon and even comes in a fancy schmancy tin so you can enjoy it anywhere you want! I wonder if you get hungry after you use this… Find out at thinkgeek.com for $5.99.
7. Demeter Paperback Fragrance
I’m a bookworm and proud of it but Demeter took it to the next level by creating a fragrance called Paperback. Paperback was formulated to smell like and remind you of the library or bookstore. They describe it as sweet and lovely with just a touch of musty aged paper. I like odd scents so I might actually like this one. Available at thinkgeek.com from $9.99-19.99.
As you can see, there are plenty of fun and interesting products out there for us to discover! Have you tried any of these wacky health and beauty products? I’d love to hear your take on any of these products!
