Shaving is probably the most common method of hair removal. Tons of women shave their legs and underarms everyday, while men shave their faces on a regular basis. Shaving is quick and inexpensive in comparison to many of the other methods on this list, but it does have some inconveniences. Shaving typically has to be done every single day to maintain smooth, hairless skin. Since razors leave a blunt tip on each hair, the stubble that grows back is spikey and uncomfortable and appears darker/fuller than it does if the hair grows back in naturally. This is why many people think shaving causes hair to grow back in thicker, although in reality it does not. Shaving can also cause ingrown hairs and razor burn that are uncomfortable and can be painful.
